In Biological term or in the language of Medical Science acne is referred as a pilosebaceous unit that contains sebaceous gland, hair and hair follicles in un-uniformed pattern. That is why a spot appears on the skin which is different from the normal skin texture and condition.
The problem of acne is common in teenagers. During this age the production of sebum from the sebaceous glands is high and that is the main cause of behind keeping the skin moistened every time. This is the ideal condition of acnes to breed.
Bacteria promotes acne growth
There is a special type of bacterium that finds human skin to be their favorite niche. It is scientifically known as Propionibacterium Acnes. Acne develops faster in such skin where the growth of this bacterium is more and acute.
The process in which the bacteria cause the damage is as follows:
?A reaction between the bacteria and the white blood cells present in blood take place.
?This is basically an enzymatic reaction where the follicles slowly get damaged.
?In this process the dermis is incapable of resisting the entry of the follicle cells inside it and as the bacteria gives out fatty acids, the burning sensation or inflammation becomes dominant.
This is the way how Propionibacterium promotes the growth of acne on human skin.
The condition of follicles
The growth of acne on the skin largely depends on the condition of the hair follicle. The sebum produced by the sebaceous gland enters into the follicle and gets spread over the normal skin. If the production of the sebum and the growth of the hair follicle are normal, there is no problem with the skin. The skin holds the moisture properly and the radiant is maintained.
The problem begins with the obstructed follicles. When the sebum can move smoothly the skin retains its normal condition. But if the follicle hair due to unwanted growth becomes an inhibition on the path of the sebum flow; automatically the follicle gets plugged up and acne is formed. The barrier caused on the route of the follicles can also be scientifically called comedogenesis. Comedon is nothing but a form of acne.
