A Day In The Life Meaning

    View:
There is no man in the house to help us with even the simplest of things like taking the garbage out (which was lovely when I had that luxury). We learn very quickly that we have to pull up our boot straps and get it all done ourselves or it simply doesn't get done at all.

Looking back at my day today, I'm amazed that so much has been done and that so much has been accomplished. Multi-tasking has a whole new definition for me! For me, this is just what a typical day looks like.

The goal for me is to try to put in some down time for 'me'. I don't get a lot of it these days and I know I need to soon or I'll crash. Sadly, I think this is the case for most single mom's out there. So, here's what a typical day looks like for me!

I woke up late this morning (probably from still being sore from playing football with my nephews after Thanksgiving dinner). Took the dog for a walk, get my son up (always fun never a chore) prepared breakfast for the two of us (most days it's a hot meal, today because of time it was just cereal), made my son's lunch, drove him to school, drove to get a well deserved coffee! Back home and start work (I work from home, thank God!).

While being glued to my desk working on my computer, I managed to take short breaks in between and finished off 4 loads of laundry (2 before lunch, 2 after), had lunch (consisting of a bowl of soup within 15 minutes) back to my computer for work until 4:30, then; vacuumed the main floor, prepared dinner, picked up grocery essentials (milk, cheese, bread); picked up my son from school, cooked and ate dinner, help my son with his homework, take the dog for a walk, wash dishes, changed bed sheets, vacuumed my son's room, drove my son to hip-hop class, drove back and took out the garbage and recycling, responded to some emails, listened to voice mails and left messages; picked up my son from dance class; showered; checked emails and responded to remaining emails, bedtime story with my son before he goes off to sleep; take out food in freezer for tomorrow's dinner.

Now it's shortly after 11pm and I'm finally in bed writing this article and looking forward to a good night's rest. No complaints here. If anything, I get a rush from accomplishing so much in one day; but my one question is, if had a man in my life, where the heck would he fit in my life???!!
A Day In The Life Meaning
A squeeze page only has one focal point, the decision, but there are two common types of squeeze pages. The first type is a sales page. These are longer and give the reader detailed information on the product to purchase. The spotlight of the page is to buy the product. The second and more common type of squeeze page gives the viewer less details and asks the visitor to fill in a form requesting more information or join a mailing list.

A squeeze page can be very profitable when used as the opening part of profit system strategy. Creating this ?system? is not hard to do with a little initial planning. Once you create your squeeze page system it can deliver multiple streams of income to you for your efforts.

So how are squeeze pages profitable?

Let's begin at the landing page. All traffic is routed to this page. Depending on what your focus is, this page may be for the sale or to get new subscribers to opt in to your publication. There are marketers on both side of the argument for which method is best. Because both have had high levels of success, why not test both methods with your campaigns?

No matter if your page is set up for the product sale, request for information, or a free newsletter ? your page must create the desire to take immediate action. Limited and one time offers along with bonus freebies are some of the frequently seen methods being used on squeeze pages to boost conversion rates.

When your visitor is converted and follows through with the form or sale they should then be routed to your thank you page. You have won them over once, now you have a warm lead looking at another page! You can offer them a complimenting product or service here, which is referred to as an up-sell. This can be your own products, services, affiliate products ect. Again this will be most effective if presented as a onetime offer.

If you just made a sale, now is the time to ask the customer to join your mailing list for updates and information related to your product's industry. Many a marketer has said ?the money is in the list?!

Now that you have created a squeeze page and have a list receiving your newsletters you have several options for increasing revenue by adding income streams by leveraging your contacts on your list. One option is to sell advertising inside your ezine. The amount you can charge generally depends on how many readers you have and the niche you are targeting. Use common sense with this monetizing strategy. Be sure to review any ads sent to your list for quality as you do not want to be associated with scam or trashy ads. And do not oversell to your list. Selling to many ads will lower the quality of your newsletter and your advertisers will not buy from you again if your mail becomes full of advertisements or loses credibility.

Another way to monetize your squeeze page efforts is by endorsing affiliate products to your list readers. When you use a product that does a good job for you, you can tell your subscribers how it worked for you and invite them to take a look through your affiliate link. Offering a bonus as an extra incentive is often helpful getting the reader to consider the product.

The most profitable way to make money from your squeeze page campaign is to create and sell your own products or services to your list members. Once you have been in contact with them a few times these list members are warm to you and your products will do better with your list members then in colder markets.

In conclusion it is best to remember that crafting a squeeze page campaign is not an exact science. It is safe to say at this time, in 2008 that it is a well established strategy that does work. How you work it can be creatively customized to fit your style. Testing different headlines, offers and call to action messages is the key to finding a workable page strategy that will fit you and your marketing needs.
