Deciding to go for broke, today's bride isn't afraid to go with bright colors such as red, blue or green, and fashion designers are giving them what they're asking for. Even dark colors such as burgundy and black are making their way into wedding dresses these days.



One thing that's prompted this is that, as the world is getting smaller, more American women are seeing what their international counterparts are wearing. They're impressed with the way women in other countries such as India and the Middle East is able to add splashes of color into their wedding ensembles, and they want to do the same.

Red is becoming popular as not only an accent, but as a full wedding gown. Many websites are popping up highlighting red wedding styles, both full length and shorter lengths, along with adding bridesmaids dress to match the occasion. Blue is a natural color that's getting a lot more attention also, especially for winter brides.

And if that's not enough, pastels are starting to make their way into wedding fashions, as they bring both softness and warmth into the wedding day, and offer so many other colors and choices of wedding gown fabrics that enhance the beauty of all other decorations and colors of the wedding day.

Even black, which is actually a traditional wedding color from the Renaissance period, is making a comeback, with designer Ralph Lauren creating a special ensemble of black wedding dresses that he displayed at a recent fashion show.

There are literally no limits on what brides will enjoy when it comes to colorful wedding dresses these days.
