Affiliate Marketing is blowing up in popularity as the hot new way to make money on the internet. There are tons of reasons why it's becoming so popular, but mostly because it enables people to work from home for some extra cash or even a full time income if they dedicate enough time to it. Even though there are a lot of people out there talking about how difficult it can be, it doesn't have to be if you know where to start! I'm going to show you just how simple it really can be to get started in the world of affiliate marketing, and we might even have some fun along the way.



As intimidating as it may seem at first, the term affiliate marketing is not the big bad monster it seems. It is used very freely and can actually describe many different processes. To be completely honest, all it really is, is saying, "Hey Company X, I'll sell your stuff for you in return for some cold hard cash." Sweet deal don't you think?

The natural progression of things usually leads to people asking how they're supposed to sell this stuff. Valid question, but first let's take a look at what we're going to sell instead of how we're going to sell it just yet. Even better, how do we know what companies want us to sell their stuff? The easiest part is finding an affiliate program to join, since there are so many out there. Ebay? Yep. Amazon? Of course. Larry's Lifesize Ant Farms? For sure. Give it a shot, go check out an online retailer right now that interests you. Search their site for an affiliate program, and ten bucks says you'll find one. This is where they are going to list their terms and conditions for the program, and give you the commission rates which are super important. Some programs are better than others so do plenty of searching before you decide on anything for sure.

We now have a product to promote, voila! This is where the fun part starts, we get to pour our heart out on why we love this product so much. What we're going to do is write an article explaining why everyone should buy this. This is where your writing skills really need to shine, because it will help you earn that much more cash. We now are going to submit our perfect articles to article directories. To find these just type "article directory" into Google, and the more you submit to the better. In all seriousness, if you wanna make some cash you'll have to submit these to quite a few directories. You should notice a section of each submission form called the resource box. This is where you want to put your affiliate link for the product so they know how to get to it and you still get credit for the sale.
