Quixtar is a company that offers business opportunity for recruits to have a web-based business of their own. They say this is a business like no other, they say that is truly performance based, rewarding their Independent Business Owners or (IBOs) on their efforts. They say their IBOs are rewarded more than $370.1 million in bonuses and incentives just for the fiscal year of 2006, and more than $2.2 Billion since 1999.



Quixtar is a sister company to Amway. They are both a part of the Alticor group. Jay VanAndel, who was one of the founders of Amway, founded Quixtar in 1999. The truth about the Amway and Quixtar sister companies is that they are both legal pyramid schemes.

So, when you think of Amway, think of Quixtar, or the other way around. Either way, they are pretty much the same. They both sell the same products, Artistry skin care and cosmetics, Nutrilite Vitamins and Food Supplements, the eSpring Water Purifying System, and their famous SA8 Laundry Products.

The way this company works is, first, there is the “Company”, which is the main selling product. Next, the distributors sell the Company product and Recruit new distributors to do the same. Duplication is the key for as far as it can go.

Quixtar products have to be sold in order for the distributors to receive bonuses for the sales made by their downline. The more sales your recruits make, the bigger the bonus you get. The little guys sell the product, and the big guys sell the company.

You can possibly become successful at this business model, but your family and friends may not like you. It seems to consume you and your daily existence because you are continually pumped up to work the business. Quixtar recommends you write everything you can on your taxes in order to build your business.

There is a rule in Amway that also applies to Quixtar since they are one in the same. The Direct Distributor has to buy back any unused products that can still be sold, from one of their distributors who is not moving their inventory fast enough or who wants to quit the business. They enforce this buyback rule.

Another rule they have is distributors cannot secure their bonuses solely on purchases of the product. They are required to “resell” at least 70% of the products they have purchased each month. And they have to sell to at least 10 customers or they do not qualify for a bonus that month. They will have to prove a sale to 10 individual customers each and every month.

Where has the American Dream gone? Has it come to not only selling products to make a profit, but also recruiting every person you ever meet and putting fear in everyone's mind that you are going to approach them?

If you are seriously going to consider Quixtar, or even Amway, please ask the IBO that you are in contact with for a copy of their past 3 year tax return. This seems to be a big secret amongst the IBOs in Quixtar. Be insistent upon seeing them, because Quixtar likes to have their IBOs spend approx $6,000 on Quixtar products and they are making these IBOs broke. Nothing like what they are taught to project.

Your best bet would to look for a real direct marketing program, not one that is like a cult, where they learn what to say and what not to say. They become involved so much, that it almost becomes like a religion. Just be cautious and do your homework.
