Regardless of the reason involved, inability to maximize the benefits or advantages of being computer literate may pose a big loss not only to the person but to the society in general.

It can enable communication among a number of persons even in different parts of the world. It can help advertise products globally. It can provide any information that a person may want to know. It can even make people meet to start a romantic relationship. The world was reduced to a few clicks with all its unlimited possibilities.

Because of the lack of knowledge or skills required to operate the computer and access the internet and all its functions, all those potential benefits may just go to waste. In the most dire situations, this skill may be the only possible solution available. Thus, being able to learn or to acquire even the most basic level of computer literacy is becoming necessary.
