I have always felt that the puzzle game is meant to be played through a simple format such as the online arcade. I've never cared for retail packages that try to make the puzzle game a more serious game than it is meant to be. If you buy one you'll find that it will get repetitive fast. You may find it much better to just play some online puzzle games that offer you the fun of challenging puzzles without the price tag of the retail package.



The first thing that really sticks out in my mind is the total variety that is offered in the puzzle game section of the arcade. You can move between Tetris style games to something along the lines of Bejeweled (or often Bejeweled itself). This means that you can easily shift between your favorites to maximize your fun. This is all done with a few clicks in the right places. You have complete variety without really giving anything up.

This builds up my second point though. Everything in an online arcade works on simple principles. You can use a few clicks to get to the puzzles. You don't have to buy anything and you don't need any new software. Everything in these online arcades are based off of the basic ideas that ran the old real life arcades. You can run in and play a cool game in your spare time. There are no downloads or installations. You just log on and play.

There is one thing that is quite different. The online arcades are lacking when it comes to the coin-operated areas. They don't require any real sort of investment on your part besides time. They're perfectly free entertainment. It is hard to find something that provides free fun. If you really enjoy playing puzzle games than you just have to find a good arcade. Once you've done that you've hit the jackpot. You now have a good way to spend your time without paying a cent. I don't think you can really ask for anything else.

I guess my last point would be an old favorite. Why buy the cow when you can get the milk for free? There isn't anything substantially better about a puzzle game that you buy. It just has more of the same levels. If you really like a game you may want to buy it for the convenience and ability to save your game. If you just like playing them for a few minutes in your downtime then you will be more than happy working with the options presented in an Internet arcade. There's no reason to spend your money on extra flair that you don't really need. An online arcade will offer everything that you could possibly need.

Puzzles games make up a big part of the online arcade circuit. It only makes sense. There are a lot of people who enjoy exercising their mind in a fun way. The really bright ones exercise their mind enough to see the beauty of using an online arcade.
