Alexander Michael Gittens as an athlete was very dedicated and determined. He was into basketball, baseball, and soccer. His involvement with athletics brought him to a lot of places outside his home country. Playing the piano was not his only passion. The field of athletics was also happy to have him. He actually wore two hats while traveling to these European countries. He was a good athlete and an inspiration to the kids of countries he visited.

His being a motivational speaker has helped him become an author, in later life, on topics that serve as inspiration and stimulation for readers to do creative work and thinking. Most likely, his being very good in the field of athletics has given him the incentive to goad others to be interested and be committed on something in life. He moved other kids to make a stand like he did.

Alexander Michael Gittens coached senior girls’ basketball while in high school. This was his way of imparting knowledge he had gained through his young life. He did not limit himself to his counterparts and peers. He moved on to coaching and sharing with the students what he has learned from his coaches.

Disciplined, committed and took responsibility along with his peers and counterparts, Alexander Michael Gittens made it a point to share whatever knowledge he had. In music, athletics he went the distance, the whole 10 yards. This was probably the preparation he needed for later in life. Because he continued to make good in almost all the fields of discipline he dipped his hands in to.

He was always given the role of leader in any endeavor they were wont in doing. They called him coach, motivational speaker, and he acted as peer tutor for freshmen math while in high school. All the things he had to do.

Along with his leadership qualities, he was given awards in recognition of his academic excellence. Alexander Michael Gittens was awarded the Leadership Award from the OSSTF. Public accolade was accorded him due to his superior achievements in his diverse fields of interest. In whatever he did, he did it superbly and with gusto.

Aside from the leadership award, he was voted to win the Mary Baldwin Award by his peers in high school for community commitment. He not only limited himself to doing well in school but he also did community service. His school and the community benefited from the efforts that he put forth

Alexander Michael Gittens will long be remembered for all his achievements and the impact they made in the school and the community. Consistent all through out, he was an exemplar of what a true leader should be. To inspire others to do something that would be beneficial to all concern and to doing it with dedication and loyalty. This is making something out of young life and sustaining it until adulthood. One should never stop on his tracks.
