The 12 houses of the horoscope that govern a man's life, in its different aspects are as follows:

1. Ascendant: The first house, which mundanely is Aries. The ruling planet of this house is Mars. The significance of this house is an individual's physical appearance like his personality, body, environment and other outward aspects.
