There are many ways to become a fitness model; none of them and a combination of them all will probably be the way you get there, if you do, but there are a few simple steps to take: we'll call it "The Idiots Checklist for How to Become a Fitness Model," and it starts with perhaps the most dunderheaded beginning of 'em all.
To become a fitness model you must:
Get Fit: It's no secret that a lot of us have an inaccurate self image; the short think they're tall, the repugnant think they're charming, the evil think they're kind; so it should come as no surprise that some people think they are "fit" when they are. . . Not so much. And "fit" doesn't only mean "thin." Of course while thin is a starting gate, you must also represent "fit." Okay, so, what does "fit" mean to you? Well, for starters, good diet and exercise. You're not trying to be Kate Moss here; I would not call Kate Moss fit at all; think more along the lines of Patty Duke. Remember you're trying to represent fit for the world. So what does the world think fit is? Well I can guarantee you that alcohol and drugs don't fit. Nor does sexual promiscuity, multiple partners, or hanging your baby out a window.
You've gotten fit; now develop an image: This is the you that you want to sell to the world. What is it about you that makes you, you? We all know Geared lost a thousand pounds eating Subway sandwiches; we've all heard John Edwards talking about "Two Americas" for the last eight years; but what have you done lately that stands out? Why should people want to emulate you? Because that's what fitness models are: squeaky clean on the outside and able to withstand close inspection on the inside.
Get a clue: Where, where you live, is there a need for a fitness model? Do you live in Dubuque and want to go straight to Del Mar? Take baby steps to discover where your message would fit best in your local community; then move to the last
Get outta Dodge: Once you've established some local street cred, done a few events at the Mall, hung out with some fire fighters, done some community service, planted a tree, saved a stranded kitty, sung the National Anthem, and compiled all this into a press kit, then you're off! New York, Los Angeles, Miami, Chicago, or maybe right in your own town. Find your spot, settle in, and look for rent control.
Becoming a fitness model is hard work. You've got to improve yourself and understand why, improve your community and understand how, before you improve the world. Only then will you understand your life's work as it's always been, as a fitness model.
Become A Fitness Model
Everyone is busy these days, but bearing in mind what is at stake, making time for exercise needs to be a priority right now. In fact, there are people who make it their purpose in life to promote the advantages of physical fitness and prove to the world what a physically fit person can look like.
It is for this reason that most people believe that fitness models are some of the healthiest and most eye-catching people in the world. Fitness models are, undeniably, the embodiment of a physically fit person, exuding health, life, vigor, and physical attractiveness.
So, if you think that you have what it takes to be a fitness model, here are some tips on how to become one.
Start by making some time for exercise.
Thirty minutes a day for exercise is not too much to start with and can easily be found if you look hard enough for it. You can find time for exercise in the following ways;
? Cutting out one TV show from your evening television viewing.
? Getting up a half-hour earlier each morning.
? Using half of your lunch hour for a brisk walk.
To become a fitness model will eventually require more than thirty minutes a day but you have to start slowly and build up your physique in the early stages.
Avoid the common perception that fitness is just a matter of the body figure.
The problem with modern society is that people tend to approve of and look up to females who are slim and sexy and to males who have well-developed physiques. The outcome is that people have a tendency to start an exercise program not because they want to be healthy and fit but because they want to look like the fitness models that they see on TV, on posters, and in magazines. But to be a fitness model, you should think about exercising your way to a healthier you and not just the sexier, physically attractive person that you want to be.
After all, being a fitness model does not inevitably mean you have to have the body size of a fashion model.
You must believe that ?You are what you eat.? is essentially true.
If you want to be a fitness model, you have to believe that your body is a product of the quality of the food you eat, and of the kind of physical activities that you pursue in life. It has to be your conscious decision to lead a healthy lifestyle to the best of your ability. Eating junk food will give you a junk body so learn about healthy food as a priority.
Genes play a big role in a person's health but these do not decide what you will eat at breakfast, lunch, or dinner, and the kind of activity that you will engage in. If you do not accept this healthy-eating principle then you will find it difficult to become a fitness model, and to show other people what it is like to be physically fit.
Learn to adopt a positive self image.
To be a fitness model, you have to incorporate a positive body image into your life. This means that you should love your body no matter what is happening in your surroundings or in the circumstances in your life. You should never yearn for a body that you know is not yours. Do not trouble yourself with the thought that life could have been better if you only you had slimmer thighs or stunning abs. By cultivating a positive self-image, you are able to gain respect for yourself, which in turn encourages others to respect and admire you.
The important thing to realize is that, being a fitness model is not all about vanity and physical attributes alone. What is important is the beauty of being physically fit and healthy that radiates from your body as it exudes the glow of health.
Even if you don't eventually make it as a fitness model following these rules will improve your health and vitality so there is nothing to lose by attempting to be one.
