But, that's actually a big problem. Because they have only ever put their skills to the test in the classroom, in practical assignments and so forth, they don't actually have what employers are looking for. Employers want experience; they want to see that the applicant can actually perform the job for which they are applying. Of course, the better students and those with the right 'contacts' will have more chance of successfully gaining employment in their chosen field; but what about the rest of the graduates?



Too many graduates end up either unemployed or in a position for which they are over-qualified. It's not because they can't do their chosen profession, but because they don't have the practical experience to prove to employers that they can!
