Cuba is located between the Bahamas and Jamaica which means that it has a superb all year round sunny, tropical climate. With its white sandy beaches of paradise, warm aqua marine waters and palm trees how can you not feel pampered?



Venture out to sea and you will find some of the most stunning coral reef which in turn provides a perfect natural habitat for a wide array of underwater life.

1 Havana brings the fifties back to life with its old American cars, although how they keep going is mind boggling. The city has many places of interest and I will list my personal favourites here. From an architectural point of view there are many beautiful buildings ranging from the Art Nouveau, such as the Capitolio to the Neo Classical such as the Great Theatre of Havana. If you are more into natures own gifts then the city offers nearby beaches such as Bacuranao, Playa Guanabo and Tarara where you can experience a vast array of sealife or just indulge yourself in the sunshine and sand. There are many lanmarks of Havana which include a wonderful botanical garden, a picturesque fortress called Castillo del Morro, and The Great Theater of Havana. There are many more but Cuba is bigger than just Havana as we will discover below.

2. Located in the Sierra de los Organos you will find the Valley of Vinales. The scenery has a amazing view of the tobacco fields, mountains and cliffs strewn with palm trees and if you can visit early in the morning when the mist is just rising all of your problems will melt away with the mist in this unique situation.

The Parque Nacional Vinales was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1999 and is a fantastic place to be if you want to go horse riding or walking.

3. Trinidad is a place that makes you feel as though you have gone though a time warp and ended up in a different age. The lack of any modern buildings and the fact that the homes have been beautifully restored along with the church and other buildings keeps Trinidad in the past. Places of interest in Trinidad include the Archaeological Museum, Trinidad Municipal Museum and Alfarero.

4. With a diverse landscape the Peninsula de Zapata is a remote and sparsely populated area of Cuba. The reason that the Peninsula is uninhabitable because it is mainly a swamp area. What draws the visitors however, is the various species of birds and animals. Keep an eye out for the crocodiles. The Gran Parque Natural de Montemar is the part of the Peninsula that is a park and where you can observe the wildlife.

5. Lastly but definitely by no means least a visit to Cuba would not be complete without a visit to Varadero the most popular tourist resort in Cuba. The warm, shallow, clear waters and the white sandy beaches are a paradise to escape to in order to forget the realities of every day life. Hard to get back to ?normal? when you return home.
