Websites have much more advantages for your home based business. You have complete control over everything with your own website. They can give your visitors a greater feeling of security and confidence when they're buying from a website. If you want to take full advantage of the high quality traffic that search engines can offer, a website is a must.

2.) You don't use long term promotional strategies. Some Internet marketers want to generate traffic for their business quickly. They throw down a lot of money on short term advertisements that bring fast, but low quality visitors to their site. Long term strategies such as Search Engine Optimization and article writing probably won't create an instant flood of visitors to you, but they can give you that very important, high quality traffic in the long run. Every time you utilize these methods, you're building up the popularity of your Internet business that can potentially bring you traffic for years to come. Short term traffic that you purchase is what it is...short lived. Many marketers online make the big mistake of ignoring this vital online business strategy and lose out in the end.

3.) Your website is too heavy with graphics, videos or animation. Maybe to the marketers, their own website loads up fairly quickly, so they assume all is good. The problem is, not all people online have a speedy Internet connection like they have. Although it's difficult to believe, there are still a good number of people who are using dial-up to connect to the Internet. Even broadband can vary in it's speed depending on different factors.
