Breast Reduction Before And After

    View:
Most people think that big women chest are showing beauty as well as femininity. Then, why plenty of women ask for breast reduction? To know that secret, you should to really listen to women who are have experience with big breasts and understand what sort of experience they live through. The truth is, you will be surprised to find out about awful back and neck pain, gouges in those women's shoulders that were made by bra, going to worse posture with an inability to participate in many activities due to big breasts. After that it is very easy to understand why many women aim to have breast reduction surgery procedure. For them, large breasts are a obstacle.

Breast reduction is taken in case of breast hypertrophy. Breast hypertrophy mostly happens in both breasts and happens at puberty or couple of years after puberty is finished. There is a chance it occurs in the time of pregnancy, not very likely, but enlargement does occur.

Cosmetic surgery can deal these conditions and solve the threat if the the woman is feeling uncomfortable with the looks and condition. In case a patient thinks it's best to have reduction mammaplasty, a plastic surgeon has to respect her decision and begin with a process of evaluating is the woman in question capable for cosmetic surgery.

Who Can Have Breast Reduction Surgery?

Reduction mammaplasty is for women who have big breasts and wish to resolve one or more issues they fight with:

1. constant back, neck and shoulder pain

2. Poor posture

3. Skin rash bellow the breasts

4. Deep grooves in the shoulders from bra straps

5. Reduced levels of activity

6. Low self-esteem

7. Difficulty fitting into certain bras

It needs to be mentioned that about half of all men today deal with gynecomastia, which is an enlargement of one breasts. Gynecomastia usually is caused by few different factors, and they are anti-depressants, blood-pressure medicine, steroids and few others. Gynecomastia may not be changed with diet and physical activity. The breast reduction can be solved by liposuction.

Breast reduction procedure is a highly successful procedure and women are very pleased with the outcome. We also must say there are always dangers of this plastic operation. To name a few: bleeding, infection and an adverse reaction to the anesthesia. Also there are some other dangers that are connected to breast reduction:

1. Loss of feeling in breasts

2. Low blood supply to the breasts, that leads to scarring

3. Losing the ability to breast-feed

4. Asymmetry in shape

5. Different body image and a period of adjustment to the change in patients appearance

In preparation for mammaplasty operation itself, a cosmetic surgeon measures and puts marks on your breasts. It improves the planning and makes it possible for plastic surgeon to do his work. Breast reduction surgery generally lasts 2 to 3 hours, while a patient is under general anesthesia. After the surgery, patient wakes up in a recovery room, where he's being monitored for any problems.

When cost of this procedure comes into question, they usually go over a wide range, depending upon the cosmetic surgeon, your region, the type of your procedure and similar important factors. Be aware that it is not possible to give an exact number so you have to contact a surgeon for that. Always check hospitals nearby and figure out the details. It's best to compare the terms, prices and similar conditions to see what what gives you most for your money.

What you need to do then is to meet with a board certified plastic surgeon that can give you information that's specific to your surgery. Communication with plastic surgeon will help you to realize what your solutions are and to think about realistic expectations about breast surgery results, dangers, prices and benefits.
Breast Reduction Before And After
Undergoing breast reduction may seem rare, but this is an operation that continues to rank high on lists. In fact, the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery conducted studies that placed this surgery among the top five surgical procedures by American women during 2008. It happens commonly, and the reasons behind making breasts smaller usually has little to do with how they look and often has a great deal to do with reducing pain.

And it's pain in the upper body that is nearly a guarantee when a woman's breasts are large in proportion to the rest of her. In these cases, the weight can cause aches in the neck, back or shoulders, and can lead to skin abrasions caused by tightened brassiere straps. Breast size that is excessively large can go beyond causing pain and can produce a burden of weight that makes it difficult for some women to move quickly or perform certain physical activities.

More rarely but still commonly seen, some women seek to have only one breast reduced since it has somehow grown larger than the other. And, of course, there are women who have large breasts and want them reduced since their large cup size makes them feel self-conscious or objectified in a sexual manner.

The most common procedure of breast reduction tends to be very close to that of the breast lift, since both surgeries include incisions in similar places. During the traditional reduction, the surgeon will make three key incisions to both breasts: one that circles the areola, one that goes along with the given curve of the breast crease, and one that extends from the bottom point of the areola to the crease that is underneath each breast.

From that point, the surgeon reduces the breast mass by removing fat, breast tissue and excess skin. Liposuction is regularly, but not always, part of breast reduction. Finally, the surgeon will move the nipple and areola to a higher point, and give the smaller breast a natural shape by adjusting and firming certain portions of skin. The recovery time for this operation is typically only a few weeks.

Women of any age can undergo breast reduction, though they are advised to attempt it at an age where their breast development is complete. And unlike other forms of breast augmentation, reduction is a procedure more likely to be covered by health insurance. This is because the patient can prove that the excessive breast size is causing injury ? brassiere strap wounds, as one example.

But as always, certain factors can hinder coverage, such as the amount of tissue the patient wants removed. One added advantage of a breast reduction surgery is that it makes successful screenings for breast cancer easier to conduct.
