But what is the worth of a 5 Star house if it is not a peaceful environment to live in? What if the subsequent cost increase to implement the sustainability measures saw a compromise to the construction quality or architectural appeal which in effect reduced the buildings life span? One of the most challenging tasks face by Vibe Design Group is encouraging council’s to embrace designs which capitalise on sustainability. Many properties are subject to overlays which require the pattern of existing homes to be maintained. Most existing neighbourhoods are of some age and are predominantly filled with homes with little or no consideration to sustainability. It is inevitable the future will see a change in the scale, orientation and overall design of properties which must be embraced by the relative councils.
