For many prudent people, an obvious bit of their financial planning is hoarding money for certain events. The first is to simply have a ?rainy day? fund for those times when life jumps up and bites you in an expensive way. For most, it is also all about saving your beans for when you retire. While these are the two standards, you might want to include a third reason on your list and start hoarding even more money.
2007 is going to be an interesting year in the real estate market. Most feel it will be one of those years where we will see a market that is essentially flat. Some markets around the country will see slight appreciation gains while others will see slight depreciation rates. Given this prediction, why would I be suggesting there are going to be a lot of opportunities in the real estate market? Three words explain it all ? mortgage loan defaults.
To call the recent sellers? real estate market hot is a bit of an understatement. It wasn't hot, it was torrid. We are talking surface of the sun kind of hot. This put purchasers in a bad position during this period. Simply put, they had to pursue ?interesting and unique? financing to afford the purchase of a new home. Many of these buyers are going to be regretting their choice in 2007.
The recent hot real estate market was supported by buyers using hybrid and balloon loans for financing. With historically low interest rates and massive annual appreciation rates, it seemed like a no brainer for buyers. The problem, of course, is things change. Interest rates have gone up and should continue to do so. Appreciation is now flat, if not regressing. In practical terms, this means the buyers now are seeing increased monthly payments on a home in which they have either reduce or no equity.
This represents a disaster and the foreclosure market is starting to heat up as we speak. In 2007, the bill is going to come due for many hybrid loans and buyers will be between a rock and hard place when trying to deal with the new reality. This represents opportunity for those that are liquid at this time.
Simply put, hoard your money and start looking for steals. By the summer of 2007, your only difficulty will be figuring out which one to pick from a very large selection. Since the market should turn around in 2008, it is an opportunity to make a nice tidy profit. If you doubt this scenario, just start watching the paper as prices start dropping.

The state of Rio de Grande Norte is on the cusp of becoming a mainstream tourist destination. Unlike more traditional Brazilian tourist destinations, Natal is closer to Europe and North America and offers a cheaper option for flights, good food, restaurants and hotels. This added to its unspoilt beaches, average temperatures of 30 ?C and the development of the world's future fourth largest airport. This is intended to increase tourism to five millions travellers each year, which is probably why more vacation packages and direct flights are being offered.
-Natal is famous for coconut palm trees dotted along the coastline and sapphire waters offering gentle sea breezes.
-It's easy to be able to go sand dune buggying and enjoy water activities
-The government of Natal is in the process of constructing the fourth largest airport in the world. Because Natal is the closest of Brazil's regions to Europe, the number of tourist from Europe and North America has continued to increase.
-The travel time from Natal City to the beach resorts has been cut to a short 25 minute drive since a bridge was erected in 2007.
-Prices for tourism and other items are presently three times higher in the south than they are in the north.
Why invest in Rio do Grande Norte?
Daily Life
With flights of seven hours from Europe, because it's 4000km closer to Europe, Natal's flights are both shorter and cheaper, so it's becoming a popular destination for holidaying Europeans. The title of safest capital in Brazil belongs to Natal.
The Natal city has almost one million people in population, this city has therefore earned its nickname as The City of the Sun with an average temperature on thirty degress
Hot Spots
One of the singular joys of travelling in Brazil is the exploration along the stunning coast north of Natal. Famous spots such as the Genipabu Dunes or the pristine white sand beaches of Cabo de Sao Roque, are an ideal location for swimming, on endless varieties of water sports, dune buggies, and horse rides along the beach.
At the Maracajau Reef one can do many fun watersports, such as windsurfing, kite surfing and also take classes in scuba diving.
Tourism Growth
In European countries like Portugal, Spain, Germany, Norway, Sweden and UK, the level of tourism is rapidly increasing. American Airlines is expected to be the first US airline next year to operate direct flights to Natal via Miami, five hour flight time, whilst British Airways will fly direct from London. Reasonably-priced flights and holidays to Natal are now available from Thomson, and other major tour operators. It is fair to say this is the start of an enormous future global tourism market. Because of that the demand for resorts, rents, and prices of lands are all rapidly increasing.
When Brazil hosts the FIFA world cup for the second time in 2014 there will be an influx of tourists which will be far more than before. FIFA is obviously glad that local infrastructure is ready to deal with large volumes of people which is evidenced by their choice to let Brazil host the World Cup. The construction of the new 51,000-capacity stadium puts Natal among the favourites of the 19 cities bidding to host the games.
