You have seen them in places like banks. They are there, holding pens so that you can use the pen and it doesn't get lost or misplaced. But why are promotional pen stands such a popular promotional item? Why do so many companies use them? There are a few reasons why companies turn to them to promote their businesses.



Convenience

One of the first reasons that companies turn to promotional pen stands when they are looking for promotional items for their company is that they are convenient. They are something that they can put right out there on the counter for the customers to use when they are looking for a pen to fill out a form.

They are convenient for the employees as well. If the person keeps their pen in a pen stand at their desk, their pen is always right there when they need it and they don't have to go searching for it.

Professionalism

Another reason that companies are turning to promotional pen stands is that they make the company look more professional than if they simply have pens laying on the counter. Putting the pens in pen stands makes the company look more professional and that is something that customers notice.

Organization

A third reason that using promotional pen stands is a good idea for business is that they help the company to stay better organized. When employees keep their pens in stands on their desks, they are able to keep them in easy reach and they don't have to hold up someone on the phone while they look for the pen.

Something that the pen stands that have the pens attached to them with a cord offer companies is safety. They don't have to worry about the pen falling to the floor and someone stepping on it and falling.

When your company is choosing their pen stands, there are a few things that you can think about to help you make the right decision about what type of pen stands you will be using.

Who are they for?

The first thing that you want to think about is who the pen stands are going to be for? Are customers going to be using them, or are they going to be for your employees? If you work in someplace like a bank, you might want to use the corded pen stands for the customers, but if they are just for employees, a simple pen stand will work well.

What is your budget?

The other consideration is your budget. How much do you have to spend on the promotional pen stands? Some of them are more expensive than others.

Promotional pen stands are something that a lot of companies are turning to. They are something that helps both the customers and the employees, and they keep the pens that people need to use in easy reach. They offer convenience, professionalism, organization, and safety, and are something that every company can use and afford.
Can't Stand Me Now
Now, this isn't supposed to be a political discourse on the our political parties' monetary policy. But I do want to talk about the results of a different type of tax and spend policy. That policy refers to one too many people buy into-dieting to lose weight.

As a nutritionist, I have seen too many people diet, repeatedly, with the same result-gaining weight. Of course they lose weight at first, everyone does. This is because all diets work. The problem is that once you go ON a diet, eventually you'll go OFF the diet, and any weight lost will come back (I suppose you could say there is a return on your investment-unfortunately this is one investment you'd rather not see grow).

What happens when you lose weight, and lose it quickly (as with many of the low carbohydrate, very low calorie diets) is that a large part of that weight loss is water loss. Sadly, part of the weight you lose is also muscle mass. Some of it will be fat, but sadly, not as much as you want to think. When you are on a diet that deprives you of foods you like, eventually your desire for that food overcomes your desire to eliminate it from your life, and so you start eating. You find that not only do those pounds come back, but they usually bring new friends with them, resulting gaining more than you ever lost. You body responds by not gaining back muscle, but by increasing your body fat. That wasn't really part of the original plan now, was it?

Folks must give up dieting (after all, diet means deprivation!) and learn to become at peace with food. It is a risk for many people, but those who have tried it know what it is like to no longer be afraid of eating and being obsessed with their weight.

Becoming "at peace with food" involves taking a journey-one that includes developing a new way of relating to food, a new relationship with what you eat. Instead of being marked by frustration and disappointment, by fear and competition between you and the food you eat, food will take its place as one of the many activities in your life, along with family, friends, working and being active. And, like these other activities, it should be pleasurable.

In order to be at peace with food, you need to learn about yourself and why you have the relationship you do with the food you eat. Like all relationships, your relationship with food took time to develop, and it will take time to change.

So, as April 15 comes and goes, along with filing your financial history for the last year, and assessing what changes you have made (and need to make), you can also consider filing a plan for changing the way you assess your dieting and eating behaviors. While it won't be easy (changing age old behaviors never is), consider it, shall we say, a good investment in your future.
