Killian Rieder, one of the designers of Chamilia beads, designs different and beautifully formed beads taking on shapes of animals, people, and everyday stuff that revolve around everyone. Killian has a degree in designing which she obtained at the Fashion Institute of Technology and she have shown her expertise through the clothes and apparel she designed for several fashion houses and clothing companies, one of which in particular is for Polo by Ralph Lauren. The designs she incorporate on Chamilia beads came from the inspirational experiences brought about by her loved ones and the lives of her customers.

A number of her designs such as the 'Sister' and 'Cat' beads which she wear on her bracelet, were inspired from her two sisters and her two cats that brought different joys in her life.

Ms. Rieder also has a principle where if a person wears a bracelet, he or she is the one who designs his or her own jewelries. She said that the best part of working at Chamilia is to see the different combinations of beads she designed being selected by people and have them combine their own jewelry that tells her a part of who they are and what they like. For her, wearing a bracelet tells a story about the person who wears it.

Each person who wears any piece of jewelry such as a necklace, bracelet, earring, or ring, most of the time wears that jewelry/s to signify something that happened in his or her life. One example is a couple wearing their wedding rings. The person who wears his or her wedding ring wants to show everyone that he or she is proud of being one with his/her partner and the union and vow they promised each other.

Chamilia is derived from the word and exotic animal "Chameleon" because of the reptile's ability to change colors based on its surroundings and blend to its environment. Just like the chameleon, Chamilia jewelries can also change not just their colors, but also their shapes and appearances in contrast to the desires of the persons who wear them.

Chamilia jewelries and charm bracelets come in all sorts of materials made from metals like sterling silver and 14 karat gold, precious stones and crystals made from Murano Glass, Analisa Glass and Swarovski crystals. The American Red Cross, to provide assistance to those who are victims of the 2005 Tsunami and that of Hurricane Katrina, natural disasters which devastated thousands of homes and properties and took the lives of thousands of people.

A number of famous artists and celebrities also endorse Chamilia products to support the good cause of the company.
