Champissage For Those Very Squeamish Customers

    View:
Tension headaches, migraines, muscle strain, poor circulation, all these things can be gone with a simple, purely sensational massage! The problem many of us have, however, is that we are simply embarrassed to undress or have a masseuse rubbing their hands all over our humiliating body parts.

Cold, sweaty, hairy feet, fat rolls, pointy elbows and knees, chances are you will not be able to relax if all you are thinking about is these parts of your body. The answer? Indian head massage, also known as champissage, gives you the same positive outcome as traditional massages lets people relax in the knowledge that they are not exposed in any way.

The art of Indian head massage comes of Ayurvedic techniques which have caught on and are now being taught in alternative therapy schools worldwide. Originally the technique was used a thousand years ago to stimulate the growth and health of hair in women.

Mostly, clients were young females who wanted to enhance their beauty and appear more attractive. The treatment continued on and spread throughout the Indian population, eventually being used by members of the public who were both young and old as a way to both promote hair growth and relax.

The treatment arrived in Europe in the 1970s with teacher Narendra Mehta, who focused on adapting the massage style to European needs. Methods were devised to deal specifically with tension and headaches, as well as general and muscle stresses. Europeans, initially the British, were great fans of the treatment and that first success has led to a love affair with the massage style ever since. Since then, many people have taken courses in the massage style and are available nearly everywhere to book an appointment with.

The great thing about Indian head massage is the extreme relaxation that comes of such a simple technique. Practitioners make full use of the pressure points on the head to stimulate circulation, reduce muscle tension and headaches, reduce eye strain and relieve insomnia.

The treatment can be done with or without aromatic oils such as olive, coconut, almond, mustard and sesame, whichever you prefer. Different clients will tend to favour different styles of head massage and different types of oil, if any, so if you are going in for treatment you may want to experience with a few different options before settling in with a favourite.

Each type of oil is meant to stimulate different parts of your body and internal organs, so care should be put into the choice. Almond Oil reduces pain, aching muscles and stiffness while promoting the growth of hair.

Coconut oil also encourages hair growth and moisturizes the skin. Mustard oil has the same properties as almond oil and is also used to reduce swelling and purifying the blood. For a similar effect without the mustardy smell, go for olive oil. Finally, sesame oil relieves aches and pains, promotes hair growth, moisturizes the hair and reduces graying. Whatever you feel is the most suitable oil, give it a try!

Indian head massage has a lot to offer you, so if you are one of those shy people who dislikes being handled intimately by a masseuse, you should definitely consider making an appointment for a head massage. With over one thousand years of technique perfection and specialists working in the field, you are in for a luxurious hour of stress relief and muscle tension with an Indian head massage.
