The Sun is given the most credit when it comes to the zodiac. It is the information people give out when someone else asks "what's your sign?" But the other planets of the zodiac have importance that shouldn't be thrown away. Mercury influences how a person thinks and how that is portrayed to the outside world. Those who have their Mercury in Leo have an amazing amount of will power, stubbornness and authority. Highly opinionated, they tend not to sway from their judgments after they have been made. But those opinions will be based on reality as they would hate to be proven wrong or to look like a fool. In the rare cases where they are shown to be wrong, they probably won't admit to it- claiming that the matter was truly open to interpretation. Intelligent, they are often able to comprehend widely varied fields and can in fact become a jack of all trades and master of all. The trick is that the mastery may be at least partially an illusion. Like their sun sign brethren, the Leos here are very talented at making others believe in what they are doing.

The decisions they make are seen as acceptable by others, who have no problem following this sign down the beaten path. They tend to be leaders due to a respect they draw out in others. Forceful, dramatic and most likely an authoritative voice in their chosen field they excel at oration and writing. It would never occur to these people to be a wallflower or to take any place in a procession that wasn't at the front. Extremely tenacious, not much can thwart the lion's drive and desire to rule. A thorn will get wedged into their paw now and then but they'll pull it out with their teeth, roar a bit and get back to business. They didn't become the king of the jungle by letting others get them down.

They are truly charismatic but sometimes they can be a little too aware of that fact and can cross the line into egotism. A belief that their ideas are of the most importance are a typical display of arrogance and pride. There is a lack of deep concentration here as the Leo mind wants to move on to the next thing before the first is fully conquered. But they are able to absorb enough information- and can make believe with the rest- that it is usually more than sufficient. Attention to detail isn't a strong point in this sign. They are better with the big picture. They'll happily assign the details to a minion. If this person doesn't keep their ego in check, they might view everyone else as a minion. But their charisma and intelligence will make it easy for others to forgive their occasional moments of strutting.
