The Chuck TV Show was created by Chris Fedak and Josh Schwartz, and premiered on the NBC network on September 24, 2007. It continued to air on Monday nights, right before Heroes, one of the biggest shows on television. Less than a month later, NBC announced that it would pick up the Chuck TV Show for a full season. After the entire first season of the Chuck TV Show aired, on February 13, 2008, the people at NBC again released a statement that they would be showing another full season.
The Chuck TV Show is best described as an action comedy program, which centers on the main character, Charles Irving Chuck Bartowski. Chuck is supposed to be the average computer whiz next door, a Stanford University graduate who now works as a member of the Nerd Herd at his neighborhood Buy More store (this is one of the many cultural references that are prevalent in the Chuck TV Show. It is a play on the Geek Squad, found at Best Buy stores nationwide). Chuck works there with his best friend, Morgan Grimes.
The pilot episode of the Chuck TV Show opens up with Chuck receiving an email from his old college roommate at Stanford, Bryce Larkin. Bryce works as a CIA agent who has gone rogue, and has emailed Chuck the last remaining copy of all of the CIA spy secrets that the United States has accumulated over the years. Of course, this was no ordinary email. Instead of text, an attachment was in the email, which embedded itself in Chucks brain via subliminal photo message when he opened it.
Although Chuck cannot immediately recall everything that was in the attachment, he does get occasional flashes of what was in it. Since he is the only one with complete access to the information, in the Chuck TV Show, Chuck must now help the CIA to twart international terrorists and assassins.
In the Chuck TV Show, the main character chooses to keep this information secret from his friends and family, which helps move the plot along during the spots that would otherwise be fairly dead. To help Chuck keep his secret, a CIA agent poses as his girlfriend, even going so far as to take a job at a restaurant, Wienerlicious.
