In case you are new to this series of articles, you are at the beginning of part two. The purpose of these articles is to chronicle my own experiences on a colon cleanse as it happens and to find out what effects it has on my psoriasis. Presently, I am giving you ammunition to fend off your critics should you decide to try a detox yourself.



We live in a destructive environment and none of us are immune to its toxins. One of the best ways to remain healthy under these circumstances is with a colon cleanse and heavy metal detox. It will improve your health, wealth, energy and is a tool in your anti-aging arsenal.

Do you suffer from frequent colds, high blood pressure, aches and pains, digestive problems or allergies? Do you drink too much, smoke, eat processed food or take drugs? All of these could be symptoms of your body being unable to rid itself of toxins.

Our bodies try to protect us from our polluted environment by gathering it up and discharging it or storing it in our fat cells. The discharging is fine and our bodies do it daily. However, when the levels of toxicity are too high to easily discharge, our immune system wraps the pollutants in mucous to be dealt with at another time.

We have more ?bad stuff? stored in us then ever before and it's not getting any better soon. You've all heard of the reasons: processed food, high fructose corn syrup, unbalanced diet and eating way too much. Throw in lack of exercise and sedentary life style and you have created the perfect formula for a quick, agonizing death.

The answer is to clean up your body and then clean up your life. First you should try some form of body cleanse. Personally I am using a colon cleanse in conjunction with a heavy metal detox. Thankfully, I do not smoke and I have cut way back on alcohol consumption. I am trying to go organic and am definitely eliminating packaged and fast food from my diet ? that is a subtle suggestion for you to do the same or as much as possible.

I will cover the different methods for doing a cleanse in a later submission. The choice you make will revolve around what you determine to be the best way to rid your fat cells of those mucous-wrapped toxins out of your body; and to remove the mucous plaque from you intestines. Your goal will be to rid yourself of the ?bad stuff? and then improve your diet and remove stress in order to maintain the health.

The entire process centers on what is referred to as ?transit time?. The longer toxic waste remains in your system, the more likely it is to putrefy and possibly be re-absorbed in to your system. This increases your chances of disease and other maladies. In rawest terms, your job is to increase the quantity and quality of your bowel movements.
