Come And Indulge Yourself In An Exciting Carmel Tour

    View:
Located south of San Francisco on the Monterey peninsula, Carmel is one of the top places for tourists coming for a San Francisco vacation. With more than 50 restaurants, around 70 galleries, year around mild weather, long sunny days are what make a visit to Carmel really worthwhile. Carmel might be a small place but there are plenty of things to see and explore here for the tourists. And the best way to tour Carmel is by enjoying the sheer comfort and luxury of a limousine. And hiring a limousine is not a difficult task as there are many reputed San Francisco limousine service providers who can arrange for a Carmel tour.

Here are some popular attractions that are worth visiting while on a Carmel tour:

Carmel Mission

Located on the left just at the intersection of Rio Road and Lasuen Drive, Carmel Mission is one of the 21 missions established by Father Junipero Sera. Established in 177 and with an extensive restoration in 1930s by Harry Downie, the Carmel mission is considered as one of the most beautiful missions in the chain of nine missions that stretches along California's Central Coast. With stone walls and an arched ceiling, Mission Carmel has unique architecture.

Carmel River State Beach

The quieter Carmel River State Beach with long trails of white sand is the perfect place for those who want to indulge themselves in bird-watching activities. This is also a nice place for a picnic, to fly a kite or catch the waves on surf. You can relax and enjoy a day basking in the warm sun or watching the surfers ride the waves or just take a long leisurely stroll or jog along the water's edge.

Also keep an eye out for the sand sculpture artist at the beach whose creations range from sand mermaids to sand palaces.

17 Mile Drive

A Carmel tour remains incomplete until you have taken the magnificent and world-famous 17-Mile Drive. The landscape, vistas and ocean views which can be witnessed on this famous drive are absolutely breathtaking. The beautiful Lone Cypress Tree that can be found along the scenic route is considered to be "one of the most famous trees in the world". This tree is over 200 years old.

Point Lobos

Located 3 miles south of Carmel on highway one, Point Lobos State Reserve is famous for its unique geological formations, rare plants, rich sea life, and an abundance of fauna. This place is heaven for the people who love photography, nature study, walking, jogging, or who just want to be close to nature. You can also try your hand in scuba diving at Point Lobos State Reserve on weekends with a prior reservation. Here you can see white-tailed deer, Sea otters, Sea lions, Urchins, Gulls, Cormorants, squirrels and sparrows and many other plants, animals and birds.

The Barnyard

Built in 1976, the Barnyard is a "shopping village" located on the outskirts of Carmel-by-the-Sea. This shopping village has more than 45 merchants, ranging from couture fashion shops, well maintained gardens, and unique art galleries to restaurants selling mount watering delicacies of various renowned cuisines.

Gravity Garden

This beautiful sculpture rock garden created by artist Jim Needham is worth visiting during your Carmel tour. The specialty of this garden is that here the rocks are stacked together to give interesting shapes but without the use of any adhesives, bolts or supporting structures. Some of the beautiful sculptures on display here are as tall as nine feet.

Apart from above attractions there are many more things to enjoy during a Carmel tour. Hire a limo from any reputed San Francisco limousines service proving company and get set to enjoy the Carmel tour in utmost luxury and comfort.
