The concept of car-pooling in India is catching on. However, an Indian car pool is different in many respects from its Western counterpart. The differences are more on account of attitudes.

If a carpool arrangement involves money transaction, do work out an equitable system beforehand, which is fair and acceptable to others. For instance if car pool parking charges are incurable they must be equally shared by all members.

Each member must be sensitive enough to the space and comfort of others for the car sharing to go a long way.
