Compare Cell Phone Providers

New cell phones are released onto the market every single day. The market for a cool mobile phone is a vein that has been tapped into extinction. Designers struggle to meet the consumer demand of better, sleeker, faster, sexier. Reach down and pickup your cell phone. Its rounded curves fit smoothly in the palm of your hands. You flick the screen open or upwards [depending on what model you have] and the screen brightens with a friendly glow, eager for input. Each on-screen icon has been perfectly designed to encapsulate the look and feel of its particular mobile experience, with large touch screen images and chunky animations wholly encompassing an instantly fun yet friendly familiarity. These are merely the older generation of cell phones I am discussing, so what of the newer ones? What of the future new cell phones?

Samsung has had amazing success with its touch screen Omnia series of cell phones. Looking to compete with the iPhone, Samsung has another trick up its sleeve, the Pixon. This powerful mobile has an unbelievable eight megapixel camera, which the producers boast about being as powerful as a standard digital camera. Other features include a 16x zoom, auto-focus and face detection with geo-tagging [a new system which will identify global landmarks]. Samsung has had a history of biting off more than it can chew, releasing fantastic phones with buggy software that damages and eventually causes major hardware malfunctions. Let's hope the Pixon improves upon this soured history. A Windows Mobile 6 operating system rounds off an otherwise impressive package.

Touch screen seems to be all the rage and even the Finnish giant, Nokia is playing along to the finger-tapping revolution. The Nokia 5800 XpressMusic Phone is a stunning foray into the iPhone-like territory of music, camera and touch screen applications. The XpressMusic contains a 3.2 megapixel camera with the coveted Carl Zeiss lens for picture accuracy and control. With an 8 gigabyte hard drive and stereo speakers, this smooth cell phone will most likely be a hit throughout the world. Nokia is even including its own version on Apples iTunes, namely the Nokia Music store. My only gripe, why must all touch screens look the same?

Not everyone wants a touch screen despite the fact they are currently all the rage. The mobile office is a buzz word attached to new cell phones which let you perform laptop-like operations on their diminutive screens. The Nokia N-series, the Blackberry Bold [or any Blackberry for that matter] and the HTC range are perfect examples and nicely suited to become that little laptop in your life. There is an ultimate winner though; a cell phone which is so powerful that it comes with Windows Vista for an operating system. This phone is the HTC Shift. The Shift's extraordinary small form factor and 7-inch touch screen is enough to make any man or woman quiver at the knees. The HTC Shift comes with every single feature you could ever imagine, plus a fingerprint sensor for good measure. I would go as far to say that you can indeed replace your laptop for this incredible piece of kit.

These are but a few of the ultra-new mobile phones on the market today, so fire up your credit card for the assault of exciting and new cell phones. One is never enough!
