Massimo Iosa Ghini – Modern Furniture Designer

The ‘Tran-Tran’ collection designed by Italian furniture designer Massimo Iosa Ghini whose proactive mind has taken him from designing comic strips to designing objects, sets, studio equipment and producing various art-movies and graphic clips, bringing him to the design of “Dinamic" - based on the formal use of the 'curve', viewed as an element which can be controlled through electronic production management systems. This piece won Iosa Ghini the Roscoe Award in the U.S.A setting a trend for European furniture that has never looked back. Another keen Italian furniture designer for B.R.F. is Marco Maran who has won awards like the IF, Goed Industrial Ontwerp and the Australian Design Award. Because the polyurethane foam structure has no internal supports, it is also light and easily portable. Presently working out of Milan, Jerszy’s work is pure fun with polyurethane and as he describes “is a way of mixing and scratching culture".
