The invention of the vacuum cleaner has helped many of us in a variety of ways. Cleaning has been made easier with the help of this appliance that sucks the dirt out of every nook and corner, from dust accumulating carpets to hard to reach corners. It has truly contributed to cutting cleaning time in half. With a vacuum cleaner, I suppose you could do away with other cleaning equipment like the broom or brush. All you need is to plug it and tug at it while you move around the house moving it from one point to another to ensure that dust and small particles are sucked by the mechanism.
While many people may think that a home could not do without a screw driver or a hammer for that matter, I would have to include the convenience that a handheld vacuum cleaner offers especially if you have kids in your home.
We all know that kids can be too downright hyperactive and they create a lot of mess. While we may want to train our kids to keeping things inside the house tidy and clean, quite often we cannot tolerate the length of time it may take for them to tidy things up. Take for example your child accidentally spilling a big pack of nuts on the carpet. I believe it would take quite a while for your kid to pick it all up. Sure you can sweep it with a broom but what if some of the nuts were accidentally crushed because it was accidentally stepped upon on. I don't think you can remove all of the small particles especially the very minute ones that are hardly visible to the naked eye. Here is where the handiness of a vacuum cleaner comes in. Although you could use an ordinary vacuum for this, it would be more convenient to have a handheld one for you could just bring it anywhere around the house without the inconvenience of lugging around the big upright kind.
Because it is lightweight, its application is not confined to uses inside the home. You can use it even to clean the interior of your car. Now, you wouldn't have to go to the car wash to pay for your car to be vacuumed. You can now do it yourself saving you on precious dollars. You even assure yourself of a good clean since you did it by yourself.
Having a handheld vacuum offers a lot of convenience and can make things way much easier for you.
Cordless Handheld Vacuum Cleaners
Many fans of science fiction can remember reading how we were all supposed to all be flying around on jet packs by the year 2001. Well we haven’t quite achieved that – yet. But we’re getting closer every day. One example is in the area of cleaning. The Roomba vacuum cleaner, which is made by iRobot, uses robot technology to clean your house. While it’s not quite like “The Jetsons" it uses many of the same principles.
First of all, it cleans your house all by itself. It doesn’t matter if its day or night. You can program it to run at anytime you want. Many people choose to have it run during the day, while they’re at work. It’s so nice to come home to a clean house after a long day at the office. Isn’t it?
The IRobot uses sensors to navigate through the room. It’s actually bumps around furniture and other objects while it cleans. Don’t worry though; the bumping is light enough so it won’t damage any important furniture pieces.
Some people question how effective it will be, thinking that a machine will never be able to do as good of a job as humans. While it’s easy to understand these fears, they are purely unfounded. The Roomba is designed to clean all types of floors, including hard wood and carpets. The sensors will also identify extra dirty spots and continue to go over that area of the floor until it’s clean.
The Roomba runs on a rechargeable battery. The robot will automatically return to its base when the task is completed, so after the initial set up there’s nothing for you to do except change the bags. Since we all seem to live a hectic lifestyle, it’s easy to see how this would be such an advantage. Who knows, maybe it will be the only vacuum cleaner you’ll ever need.
