There are a variety of reasons why increasing numbers of people are electing to have cosmetic plastic surgery. These can range from plain vanity to more anxiety-causing defects, which can be readily corrected with surgery; hence, much improved self-confidence and the ability to feel better about oneself.
Yet for the countless people who have evaluated all the benefits associated with cosmetic or aesthetic surgery, they will simply abandon their goal on account of cosmetic surgery costs being outside their reach.
State-funded plastic surgery in exceptional circumstances, is the reality for some, especially in European countries. For instance, facial plastic surgery such as rhinoplasty or birthmark defects can be carried out for individuals whose emotional or psychological quality of life is deemed to be seriously affected by their perceptions about their appearance.
However, this is not the reality for countless others who do not have the back-up of a state healthcare system funding cosmetic plastic surgery and ultimately, they must pay privately.
Although there is the option of plastic surgery financing to offset cosmetic surgery cost constraints, depending on the amount of finance needed, not everyone will qualify for loans or a finance repayment package.
As a consequence, many need-driven prospective patients may well go down the slippery slope of trying to self-finance cheap cosmetic surgery. In many instances, people's decisions will have been based on cosmetic surgery costs, rather than being based on the clinic and/or the plastic surgeon's credentials. Yet, with horror stories abound on 'when cosmetic surgery go wrong', many people have, and will continue to count the real cost of cheap plastic surgery.
It goes without saying that anyone who is intent on pursuing cosmetic surgery, whether on a self-financing basis or on plastic surgery financing terms; whether cheap plastic surgery, rhinoplasty or any kind of aesthetic surgery, cosmetic surgery costs should not be the one and only defining factor.
Most important of all is the need to carry out due diligence and fully research the consultant surgeon and the clinic's track record; the length and breadth of their experience; and the medical facilities they have at hand. It is far better to secure at the outset, the wanted outcome, rather than to risk health complications, not to mention additional expenses corrective cosmetic surgery can incur.

Credit Plastic Surgery Financing
Plastic surgery costs can be pretty high and therefore out of reach for most people unless the look for some financing solutions. The cosmetic surgery costs depends on many different factors, mainly on the location and experience of the surgeon, the type of cosmetic surgery performed, the equipment used and the risk factors that vary from patient to patient.
The costs for plastic surgery can quickly add up to several thousands of Dollars. All these costs have to be fully paid by the patient because there is no standard health insurance that would cover aesthetic surgery by default. A health insurance just pays the costs for a surgery if there is a medical reason for it.
Fortunately there are several good companies out there that have specialized in this sector. They offer financing especially for plastic and cosmetic surgery, often to very attractive rates. Don't forget though that the money is borrowed and nothing more than a loan that you must pay back, including interest. Therefore rules apply, similar to a bank loan.
Another factor you must consider is that not all doctors accept financing. Often the companies have agreements with certain doctors only and pay the money to the doctor directly and not to you. A plastic surgeon will also not get the full payment from the company because there is a discount of usually 5-10%. That means if the surgery costs $3,000 for example, then the doctor may only receive $2,700.
Your credit history is important and the next factor which decides if you are approved or not is the size of the loan. Since these kind of loans are unsecured, the interest rates might be higher than you would expect because the financing company has to cover their risks. However, there are sometimes very attractive offers from certain plastic surgeon who offer zero cost financing of certain plastic surgery costs. It pays to look out for such offers.
Don't rush into a loan before you haven't had detailed talks with your preferred plastic surgeon. It's bad enough to loose money you already had, but losing the money from a loan just because the surgery didn't went like expected is even worse. Every surgery can have complications. It is even possible that you have to go under second surgery. Make sure you have some room for financial changes whenever possible.
