Its codename 'Luna' comes from the Greek history – it is the goddess of the moon light, who was frequently identified with Selena. It seems that it is the sparkling of the moon light that the mobile phones' designers have tried to reflect in the Nokia 8600’s name. The Nokia 8600 utilizes smoked glass finish on its metal casing to create the desired effect. Majority of the casing is made out of stainless steel with matte finish.
