If you are determined to fix your credit then it is recommended that you get a copy of your credit report from all three major credit reporting agencies. Most of the time, you only need to contact one agency, not all three. It is helpful to obtain credit reports from all three agencies because you can check the statements they send you for discrepancies and make a better plan to fix your credit.

When you receive a copy of your credit report you should check all of the entries carefully and right away. If you have been diligent in keeping your own financial records, cross checking your credit report should be a simple.
