The forming of the scale deposits are not the main issue for treatment of hard water. The treatment of the hard water is necessary for the deposits that have formed over time and are causing a problem with the water flow.

These scale deposits do not allow heat conduction to occur like it should on the heat and cold surfaces. It also lessens the wart flow in the pipes since it clogs them up. If you have a boiler or a water heating system you know how expensive it can be to maintain it but, with scale deposits, the cost to fix it could be even more.
