Dierks Bentley New Song

    View:
‘Modern day drifter' and country music standout Dierks Bentley has been building up anticipation surrounding the Feb. 3 release of his latest album Feel that Fire, and with a price tag of just $3.99, who could resist grabbing a copy of the much-anticipated album? Bentley has teamed up with http://Amazon.com to bring Feel that Fire to the Web site for a one-day price of $3.99, available exclusively on the album's release date of Feb. 3 as a very cheap MP3 download.

Bentley's latest release has been garnering speculation and anticipation around the globe for months, and if Feel that Fire's leading single is significant in telling how the album will sell, the number four-charting “Feel that Fire” is nothing but a good sign for the contemporary country crooner. Feel that Fire is Bentley's newest endeavor and features guest appearances by music industry heavyweights Patty Griffin, Ronnie McCoury and Rodney Crowell, a strong lineup almost ensuring monumental success.

Before Dierks Bentley was able to make a living off $3.99 per album sold, the now-famous country music singer was busy living it up in his hometown of Phoenix, Arizona, where he grew up feasting on heaps of country music and big dreams. Overtaken by ambition, Bentley relocated to Nashville when he was 19 in order to pursue a singing career, but he didn't achieve a quick rise to the top of the business. After spending time navigating the honky tonk circuits, Bentley had an all-night jam session at the famed Station Inn, where he revived his country music dreams and started pushing to the top of Nashville's elitist circle. The charming singer/songwriter/guitarist started out at the bottom of the totem pole of the music industry, first landing a job researching for TNN television by day while recording demos by night.

Eventually, Capitol Records discovered the fledgling country music singer and signed him to the label, immediately releasing Bentley's debut self-titled album in 2003. Dierks Bentley was an instant hit on the contemporary country music scene, landing a number four-charting slot on the country music charts while spawning the rebel-rousing smash singles “What Was I Thinkin'” (his first number one song) and “How Am I Doin'.” This incredible success led the up-and-coming star right into his next album, 2005's Modern Day Drifter. The album was Bentley's first chance to let his classic country influences (think Merle Haggard and Waylon Jennings) surface, and the 2005 release was eaten up by country music fans across the country. Modern Day Drifter was an instant number one on the country charts and led the way for the burgeoning contemporary country scene with number one singles “Come a Little Closer” and “Settle for a Slowdown,” exhibiting Bentley's stellar ability to both rock a crowd hard with honky tonk classics and bring it down a notch with emotional ballads.

Ever since the mid-2000s, the number ones have just kept rolling in for Dierks Bentley. The Nashville star's 2006 album Long Trip Alone was another number one on the charts, and boot-stompin' anthems like “Free and Easy (Down the Road I Go)” showcase Bentley's songwriting abilities to the fullest. It's been three years since Dierks Bentley's last album was released, but 2009's Feel that Fire has already ignited on the country music scene thanks to the title track, which is still garnering praise.

In the years that he's caught in between albums, Bentley has kept himself busy when equipped with a guitar and microphone. The Arizona native is constantly on the road wowing audiences with his catchy tunes and suave style, so if you haven't seen him concert yet, get Dierks Bentley tickets from http://www.stubhub.com/dierks-bentley-tickets and head down to the nearest venue for a Southern-fried good time!
