Logos aren't something you just come up with overnight unless you get really lucky and have that amazing flash of inspiration. They may look like they wouldn't take much to design, but a great logo can be a very difficult thing to get right if you don't know exactly what you're doing.



But there are a few key details you need to be aware of, and can help you get your logo going strong.

The first has to do with the complexity of the logo. The more complicated you get the less likely it is your logo will really take off. A logo needs to be on everything associated with your company, and the more complex your logo is the harder it will be to pass it around on everything.

Beyond the practical use of applying your logo, a simple logo is also easier to remember. If you get particularly complicated people won't be able to remember it as well. The whole point of a logo is to help people remember who you are through this design. The best logos are the ones that can be used on everything you have and are easy for people to keep track of.
