A verb is a grammatical category that denotes an action. Thus, the verb ?to believe? denotes an action. But, a kind of action that is denoted by this verb is different from other verbs such as ?to kill?, ?to cut?, ?to hit?, etc., mainly because the verb ?to believe? does not denote a concrete action. It denotes an action that takes place in the mind of the believer.
