The beagle loves to be around the family and they can become depressed if left alone for extended periods of time. One of the famous beagles we all are familiar with is Snoopy. Beagles are not aggressive and they are friendly. They are also good watch dogs. They are good for small children because of their small size and they love to play with kids.

In choosing dogs good with children, remember that not all dogs are alike and you have to be very cautious with having unknown dogs around your child.
