When people think of crime, they think of it on the streets, not in the home. The British Crime Surveys (BSC) are reporting that 1 of 20 crimes are in the household. Domestic crime is different than in the classical sense. It may involve a live-in roommate, or boyfriend/girlfriend taking advantage of you in a monetary situation by use of your laptop computer. Many people do not think of letting a friend or new suitor borrow their laptop to check their own email, only to have the person infiltrate your personal emails, passwords, bank account information and more. Never loan your laptop, and don't necessarily trust somebody that has moved in with you or living in the same household to keep your personal information safe.
