If you are like most women, the first thought that popped into your head was 'I'll diet it all away.' Certainly there is no shortage of diets to choose from. Many of them work - the scale certainly moves rapidly.
There is just one problem. Make sure you read this story about Sally until the end to learn all about it. Sally went on a diet, the scale is reading 10 pounds less, but the mirror disagrees. What happened? She lost *weight*.
What she really wanted to do is lose fat, but instead she lost weight. I'd like to help you avoid this mistake, so let me explain the difference!
How you look depend primarily on two tissues - fat and muscle.
Muscle makes men look hunky and women look foxy (not bulky). We all have and need some fat on our bodies, but excessive fat makes both men and women look, well...FAT.
What's excessive for one person is perfectly normal for another. 30 pounds of fat on a 200 pound man? Hunky! 30 pounds of fat on a 100 pound female? Twelve weeks away from foxy. It is the proportion of fat to muscle that matters.
So what happened when Sally went on a diet? She lost a lot of muscle and a little bit of fat. At the end of the diet she looked worse than when she started.
When you reduce calories (go on a diet), your body has to either burn fat or burn muscle to compensate. Your body will choose muscle every time, unless you give it a good reason to keep it.
There is only way to tell you body to keep muscle - use it! This means that you MUST do proper weight training.
Muscle has other really cool benefits too. For instance, it burns calories round the clock, even when you sleep. This helps you get rid of fat faster, or simply eat a bit more without getting fat.
The point is going on a diet without proper weight training will make you look worse. Don't do it! Oh, and doing hour long cardio sessions make the situation even worse!
You are better off eating nutritious foods in reasonable quantities. But if you need to get in shape in a hurry, there is no option but to diet. If you must go this route, make absolutely certain that you are performing a well-designed weight training program.

Lose weight the seemed right way1. Find out a popular fad diet (juice fasting, the Hollywood Cookies diet or the Grape fruit diet should be working in this situation) and adopt it for a week.2. Go to a gym each day and try to do the bench press. Complete your workout with one hundred abdominal crunches.3. Drink no less than two glasses of Gatorade and begin running for sixty minutes each day.4. Eat no more than 3 times everyday and do not eat after six clock in the afternoon.Not eating real food, focusing on pre-packaged foods and protein bars .5. Dramatically cut down the intake of your calorie . If you have eaten more than eight hundred calories one day, you will have a cold shower for ten minutes.6. Do not have breakfast. Just drink two cups of coffee and have a low fat muffin.7. Smoke half a pack one day and take diet medication pills.Lose weight the right way1. Eat a healthy and big breakfast each day. You require calories to jump start your metabolism after a night of sleeping.2. Do not calculate calories. Eat thin protein,vegetables and fruits as much as you like, and stay in hydrated condition.3. Swim or walk for no less than 30 minutes each day. If you possess a weight scale at home,try to hide it somewhere and avoid weighing yourself for at least 2 weeks.4. Spread out your daily calories among 5 small meals and do not get yourself feel hungry for extended period of time. If you get the feeling of hungry, eat!5. Bring healthy snacks with you as you will leave your house. While you get the feeling of hungry between the regular meals, try to use the snacks.6. Do not set a lose weight target. Instead of having a thought "I must lose ten pounds in 2 weeks",you should pay attention to develop healthy eating habits and stay physically active. Try for a dance,riding a bike,hike,playing with your kids.7. Most importantly,have the faith with yourself! Thousands and Hundreds of people lose weight successfully each day.
