Plays Itself is another classic gay porn movie from 1972 that was done by influential director Fred Halsted. This movie is archived at the Museum of Modern Art in New York.

Falconhead from 1977 is still to this day acclaimed by critics as one of the few classic gay porno movies that brought complexity to the blue movie. This film was also featured in Unzipped Magazines 100 greatest gay porn films ever made in 2005. A final classic gay porn flick that has been deemed monumental is Dune Buddies in 1978.
