Once it was realized that the area was a goldmine for tourism, one smart businessman snapped up as much of the area as he could and started marketing it as the premier vacation spot. Aqualandia Water Park - This is a location that is a lot of fun and is located just inside the city. For most visitors it is a quick walk or bus ride.

Mundomar Park -If you prefer to be up close and personal to animals, this is the park for you. This park will let you see a wide variety of marine and tropical forest animals.

Terra Mitica- A new place to play. This theme park was built in 2000 as a new option of recreation for visitors.
