Women's ministry idea #1. Devotionals are an important part of any Christian's life. If the women in your ministry have access to a computer and an email address, then you can send them a daily or weekly devotional. If some of the women do not have a home computer, they can always go to a local library to use the computer. Most libraries will have free Internet use for people with library cards. For those women in your group who do not know how to use a computer, you could schedule training at the local library.



The women who are familiar with computers could show the women who are less familiar with computers how to set up an email address and read their emails. You could even make a game out of it and have prizes for the first women to get their accounts set up. This could be a fun idea because the women will enjoy learning to use the computer and the devotion will help them feel connected to the group.

Women's ministry idea #2. Themed monthly meetings are another idea that women are sure to enjoy. Whenever your group meets each month, your activities, decoration and even snacks can support the theme. The themes should be something interesting and fun. They could be inspired by the month, season, or special causes, and should always promote and encourage the women's faith.

For example, during the month of September you could have a "Head of the Class" theme and discuss how Jesus was a teacher. For the month of April you could have a "Flying High with Prayer" theme and use decorations like kites with prayers on them. Other themes to consider include: holidays, cultural, fashion, literature, pop culture, or fine arts. Having a monthly meeting theme is an excellent women's ministry idea that will surely attract women to the meetings.

Women's ministry idea #3. Consider having Secret Sisters. This is a fun idea that the women will love doing. It is very similar to Secret Santa. Have the women choose a name from a hat. The person they chose will be their Secret Sister for a month. During the course of the month, the Secret Sister will do little things such as send greeting cards or leave small gifts. You can decide if you would like to have a special get-together where the women find out their secret sister. Everyone loves receiving gifts and this is a practical way for women to experience fun ways to share a little of Christ's love with each other.

Women's ministry idea #4. Dine time is an idea that will be a hit with all of the women. Have the women sign up to host a dinner at their house. Then each month, choose one of the host houses and have all of the women gather there for dinner. Members from the group can bring covered dishes or you can have the dinner catered.

You may want to have one woman responsible for hosting the event and others responsible for arranging for the food. This is a great way to get the women together for food, fun, and fellowship. You can even combine dine time with a themed event to create a themed dine time such as Mexican night, Italian night, Chinese night, or carnival food night.

You could even host a meeting and brainstorm with all of the women in your group to see what they may like to do.

It is always fun to involve all of the women in your group in the planning. That way you will be sure to do things that are suitable and enjoyable for everyone; and it will take a lot of the planning stress away from just one or two people. Each month, you should try to do some different ideas. This will keep the group fresh and active, and the women will always be looking forward to the next meeting or activity.
