When depression strikes a market, there's chaos for a while. People don't know what they should do to ensure that their money doesn't lose value. Every investment opportunity looks rotten, and a traditionally safe investment like land seems unsafe. In these this chaos there's a special class of property that never loses value. Tenerife property is one of them. Due to some special reasons, Tenerife properties are an attractive investment even in a falling market. Here's why: -
1. High Demand for Properties
Tenerife is a pleasure island that attracts tourists in the thousands from around the world. The main source of income for the natives of the island is money from tourism. Tourists come to Tenerife to relax at the beautiful beaches and enjoy the good life. Tenerife properties have to cater not only to the locals, but also the tourists. That's why there's a high demand for Tenerife property.
The high demand keeps the prices steady. There's also a lot of investment coming in from foreigners into Tenerife. Many foreigners have made it their home, and some Tenerife properties have sprung up that cater exclusively to the needs of foreigners.
2. Properties are linked to business
Elsewhere in the world, people depend on the property to appreciate in value only because of rising demand, but in Tenerife there's another advantage. Tenerife properties have a business appeal. If you've got a residential property, you can rent it out easily to tourists. If you've got a commercial Tenerife property, you can find business easily from the tourists.
There's a high earning potential from Tenerife properties. That's why a lot of new people are interested in setting up a business here. New hotels and restaurants are coming up, and even foreigners have to come to Tenerife and bought Tenerife properties to own a Tenerife business.
A strong opportunity to earn makes Tenerife property attractive for investors and demand is kept higher even when the market is largely in depression. In fact when other sectors are in depression, Tenerife properties are still expected to grow because of people who will want to take their money from bad investments, and put them in a place where it can earn.
3. Perfect climate, and living conditions
Tenerife is not called a paradise island for nothing. The island enjoys very good weather all around the year, and has easy access to beautiful beaches or vibrant forests. The flora and fauna of Tenerife is famous, the good and comfortable life that Tenerife properties promise has convinced a lot of people to make Tenerife their home. Even if they're not living there now, they've bought a Tenerife property where they intend to shift move to once they retire.
This beautiful island will always be popular among people and more and more individuals will want to make it their home. But living space is has limited availability, only in a finite quantity. That's why there's a strong potential for appreciation of Tenerife properties even in a depression. If you haven't bought a Tenerife property yet, think about that it now.
Faith In Troubled Times
The stock market and the economy are in the midst of very tough times. Everywhere you turn there is bad news about the economy. You hear it on the radio, TV, in newspapers, and bars and pubs. The Dow goes down 500 one day, up 300 the next, and then down 700 the day after that. Investors might be accurately depicted as being in panic mode. Everything about the economy seems unsure right now.
Gold is usually bought as a hedge against these uncertain times. If there is one asset you can count on, it has always been gold. Gold has never gone to zero in value and usually when the economy is in trouble and stocks are going down, gold is seen as a safe haven. Many people buy gold stocks as an insurance policy against a tough economy. It makes one wonder why, in the midst of all this turmoil and uncertainty, gold has not gone up?
Lately, when stocks have been taking a dive, all stocks have been going down, including gold stocks. Usually it is more of a one or the other type of thing. This might be happening for several reasons. First, when the dollar is weak, and it has been very weak in recent years, gold goes up. Lately though, the dollar has been making a bit of a comback which might be contributing to golds decline.
Another reason why gold is not going up may be because of the activity of banks and hedge fund managers that are in trouble. Because they have made a lot of bad bets which has led to this weakened economy and stock market panic, many investors want their money right now. These financial institutions may be having to sell their good investments such as gold in order to cover their losses. This continuing selling of gold will of course drive the current price of gold down. As long as enough of these hedge fund managers are selling, gold will continue to stay at current levels.
These are some of the reasons why gold has been a disappointing investment in recent months. If you are like most people, it is nice to see at least one thing in your portfolio go up as the rest of your investments go down. Gold and gold stock has always been that thing up until now and hopefully it will make a comback soon.
