The police are cracking down on the possession and owning of fake ids and if you aren't careful, you can get in a world of trouble. Although using fake IDs has been commonplace for years, the police are really starting to crack down on punishing those that break the law. There are currently new mechanisms in place that allow ids to be put through card readers to check for validity. In addition, police and others are becoming more competent at evaluating holograms and incorrect lettering and codes. And, if they catch you with a fake id or making one, you could be in a world of trouble.
