Title: Family vacations in Kenya and Tanzania
Nothing in the world beats a family beach vacation, whether it's at a luxury tented camp, safari lodge or simple camping.
Families flock to Kenya and Tanzania for their all-inclusive safari packages. Some safari lodges have kids programs that are outstanding, with separate experienced children leaders and activities for many different age groups.
Most of the safari lodges and tented luxury camps have swimming pools that the families can enjoy together after long drive or simply cooling off before the next game drive.
Ranging from the luxury tented camps to safari lodges, the prices can be high but this depends on various seasons. July to October is the most expensive season due to wildlife migration enthusiasts that flock to watch this magnificent scenery.
The safari lodges and tented camps are the best way to go for families. The parks of Kenya and Tanzania are known for lush luxury safari resorts that offer among other activities, family balloon rides, picnics and walks. These are options that families that enjoy outdoor adventures together can explore.
Just like the variety of wide variety of wildlife in both Kenya and Tanzania, the safari accommodations vary the same way from extra luxury camps to budget camping. There is something for every pocket size and no family should have an excuse not to enjoy the rich nature in Kenya or Tanzania for at least once.
During the months of July and August, finding accommodation for a family in Kenya can be a little difficult. It does not have to be. For a family vacation in July or August accommodation in Kenya needs to be reserved in advance to avoid the last minute rush for rooms.
Family vacations can be extended to the cost for a few days to give the kids some time to ?play sand? on the snow-white beaches of Kenya or Zanzibar. Both places offer guests comfortable yet unique accommodations. Both are very rich in history and different traditions, age-old beach hotels, outdoor activities that include sea sports, nature walks or just lazing in the hotel pools.
For families that dive or parents that enjoy diving activities, these can be arranged for any safari agency in Kenya or Tanzania or the hotel or your accommodation. At the same time the children can be enjoying sports in the hotel pools or simply join adventurer's club where the guide will take them for a nature walk along the beach.
Both places have been working very hard to establish themselves as family destinations with many all inclusives being built. The locations have all the perks of a tropical beach plus stand out features that include kids programs.
Some of the beaches accommodations are drive in cottages, self contained with utensils and the family can make their meals the family way or go to a beach hotel to dine out.
Water sports for both places include, wind surfing, snorkeling, and scuba diving.
Family Vacations All Inclusive
Estes Park
Estes Park has it all in the way of Colorado family vacations; shopping, horseback riding, golfing, fishing, hiking, and biking. There is no better place to enjoy the beauty nature has to offer. The quaint shopping areas are perfect for spending a day strolling around. The mountains in Estes Park offer an escape unlike any other. Lodging is extensive, with options ranging from bed and breakfast establishments to hostels and camping, as well as plenty of hotels and motels.
Depending on the time of year there are many organized events to participate in. During the summer months there are outdoor concerts and plays. Christmas time offers sleigh rides and snow shoe walks. September is the time of the Longs Peak Scottish Irish Highland Festival. This is an event for everyone to have fun, relax, and experience something new. There are kilts everywhere, jousting, hammer throwing, and authentic Scottish music. And the food is incredible; sweet potato fries, kettle corn, and fresh corn on the cob dipped in melted butter, for starters. So bring your camera and a rain jacket (rain is very likely that time of year) and savor an experience unlike any other.
Glenwood Springs
Centered around a pool fed by a natural hot spring, this is near the top of my list for Colorado family vacations that will leave you reinvigorated and ready to return to the stresses of daily life. The pool takes up three city blocks and includes a water slide, larger main pool, and smaller pools that are kept at a higher temperature. If planning on spending more than a day here you may want to stay at the Hot Springs Lodge since they offer family packages where the hotel rate includes free access to the pools.
Another appealing aspect of Glenwood Springs that makes it the perfect Colorado family vacation is its location in the mountains with caves and trails for exploring. There are cave tours as well as a vapor cave where natural spa treatments can be savored. The whole family will never be bored while taking advantage of the things to do there.
Great Sand Dunes
Come to this national park to experience sand like you have never seen it before, where Colorado family vacations don’t get any better than this. Visitors are able to slide, sled, roll, or ski down the sand dunes. Need I say more? What kid, or adult who has a kid within, would not like to play here? It is truly a playground for the whole family.
In addition to the activities on the sand dunes there are rivers, lakes, and mountains that can provide additional adventures. Just remember your sunscreen and sandals since the sand can become very hot. With kids in tow bring along a large umbrella for shade and plenty of cool water to fight off dehydration. Enjoy!
Although there are many wonderful Colorado family vacations, these three are guaranteed to leave your kids smiling and happy.
