At your child's birthday party, you should get party favors for the birthday.  Like other parties, the kids like to take something home when they attend birthdays. This should be for the kids first birthday or possibly their fifth.  if you are giving a large party where many people will be coming, then a party favor no matter what the age is essential, at least for proper manners.
