When you want to perform well in golf, it is not enough that you swing your golf club as hard as possible. The ball should land as near the hole as possible. The most important factor is the proper coordination between your body and mind to get perfect golf swing timing. You might have heard about this many times before. But, you may find it very hard to implement, especially towards the end of a tournament. You would not have much energy left after going through a number of holes and your muscles feel week.

The only way you could swing your club consistently is by constant practice. The practice not only includes swinging of golf clubs but also some amount of stretch and strength exercises. These exercises would increase your endurance and provide more flexibility to execute your golf swings.

You must start with improving your back swing. To do this properly, you have to hold the club with both hands. This might appear to be quite difficult for you and lead you to execute this shot poorly by releasing it too early. You could improve this shot by holding to the position for ten seconds without moving then going through your motion until follow through.

It would be always be advisable to practice your shots in front of another person or you may practice in front of a mirror. Another way could be to record your shots on video and then view it later. This would enable you to find out the different errors you are committing while carrying out your shot. You would be able to improve yourself by rectifying these defects.

You could undertake another exercise known as overhead stretch. This exercise could be done properly by holding the clubs with hands shoulder length apart and armpit facing the front. To maintain proper balance, you should keep your feet two feet apart from each other. You should do this exercise at least ten to fifteen times for about five to ten seconds each time before bringing the club down.

Shoulder of a golfer generally gets injured due to over use. By stretching the body properly, this could be avoided. This could be done by rolling the shoulder a number of times forward and to the opposite arm.

A good shoulder turn would create a coil and guide the ball in its intended direction. The position of your chin is also quite important. You should always keep your chin up so that your left arm could swing freely across your chest. If you take good care of these factors, it would improve your timing of your swing.

There are aids that will help you keep your arms locked, as well as aids that help you keep your wrists locked. There are aids to help you correct your stance, as well as your backswing, upswing, and even the force with which you hit the ball. Don't be afraid of being different if it helps you play better!

Studying the swings of great golfers can be a training tool within itself. However, it is important to remember that you are an individual. While you can try many of their techniques, their exact technique probably won't work as well for you as it does for them. Take their techniques, and work with them to make them your very own ? as long as they improve your game.

You can practice your swing at home or at the office (if this is allowed). You don't need a ball; you just need a little room. Swing the club, just as you would if you were going to hit the ball. Instead of concentrating on needing to hit the ball, however, concentrate on the actual swing. You should also consider using training clubs as well. These will build your strength a great deal, allowing you to hit the ball harder and farther than ever before!

Remember that developing a proper golf swing takes time, practice and patience. If you are having problems, do not get frustrated, or give up. Keep working at it, and look for the solution you need to correct the swing problems you have. One of these days, you will be playing like a pro!
