Although they are having sex with each other, both the mother and the son start having secretive affairs with other people on the side (who are not family members), unbeknownst to either of them.

The first incest Taboo movie was so popular, that production quickly began on a sequel, which starred some of the biggest names in the adult industry. David Cannon, Rod Diamond, Edward Dean and Ron Jeremy. Kay Parker was also featured in the incest Taboo 3: The Final Chapter.

Although Parker was last seen in the incest Taboo 3, there were a total of 22 incest Taboo movies made between 1980 and 2006. There were also some incest Taboo, American Style movies and an incest Taboo 2001: A Sex Odyssey movie that were also made. Just about all of the incest Taboo movies earned at least one Adult Video News (AVN) award. One of the most publicized events surrounding the incest Taboo movie series was when Adam Carolla, a self proclaimed lover of everything porn, announced that Taboo 2 was his favorite adult film of all time.
