Have you spent a lot of your life being skinny? Are you fed up with it? Do you think you've tried everything there is to gain good amounts of weight and muscle? Well if you answered yes to any of the questions above then you should definitely read on because it's time to change. Whatever it is that your doing now it's not working trust me! If it was working you wouldn't be reading this article now would you? So listen to everything I've got to say on how to gain weight and make sure it registers with you, because if it doesn't your going to carry on being the same weight you have always been, and that is'nt what you want...... right?
First of all, let's get down to the basics. There could be many reasons why you struggle to gain weight, but usually the one that is most apparent in people struggling to gain weight is genetics. This can be the bane of existence for anybody interested in bodybuilding and weight gain, but with the right information on diet and training it doesn't have to be.
Muscle Building and Weight Gain Diet
Like you, I'm a hardgainer so I have to eat more than other genetically gifted people to gain weight and build muscle. People who find it easy to gain weight and muscle have slow metabolisms and don't really need to eat as often or as much as we eat. So, to gain weight and build muscle you should be eating every 2 to 3 hours at least, and this doesn't mean just any food, oh no, there's no fast food, high carb, high sugar food involved, just plain natural-healthy food full of calories, proteins, and essential fats. Get a good diet plan set in stone first of all then you can work from there.
Getting the right diet can depend upon your current weight, height, age, sex, and lifestyle. This is because a rough caloric intake needs to be calculated, so that you can obtain weight gain. It's no good eating all that food for it not to be enough or for it to be to much, this is why it important to calculate your calorie intake compared to your weight, height, sex, as even eating a couple of 100 calories a day can effect the results you get.
The right training program
Training is not the most important aspect of bodybuilding, ask any bodybuilder that. It's your diet plan which is the most important, especially for hardgainers. This does not mean that you should just eat, eat, eat... Oh no, do that and your just going to gain excess fat. You really must get a good training plan set out as well, the usual amount of days training for someone that wants to gain weight and muscle is 1 day on 1 day off, so it's 3 split days training, with 2 days off for resting.
The training programs that hardgainers face have hardly any cardio whatsoever. Usually 5 mins warmup on a bike then some good solid weight training. A usual gym session for me lasts around 40 to 50 mins which is a long time in some peoples standards, some just do 30 mins then they're off. All you need to do is a good solid 30 mins of working to your limit every other day and you will see massive improvements when coupled with the right diet.
A good Bodybuilding Program
Getting the right program for bodybuilding and gaining weight is essential. They give you the information in easy to follow formats that will guide you all the way to your bodybuilding desires. This can serve really well if you are a beginner bodybuilder or if you need a step by step guide to get you on the right track. There are some fantastic programs out there, its' just a matter of finding the right one that will produce results for you.
Bodybuilding programs help you plan your diets and training program to a tee, so that you can reach your goals easier and much faster. There are also some bodybuilding programs that offer coaching programs with there ebooks, which are superb for a beginners in my eyes.

If you are looking for the best weight gain supplement for you, take into account your diet and exercise routine before making a decision. Weight gain supplements can be very beneficial when used in conjunction with the proper diet and weight training routine.
The major part of your calorie and protein consumption should come from the foods you eat. Substituting a weight gain supplement for a meal is never a good idea. Your body needs the natural nutrients found in lean meats, poultry, fish, vegetables, and carbohydrates. Weight gain supplements can be used effectively as a weight gain aid when they are used to supplement your diet, not replace part of it.
A diet consisting of large amounts of protein, fats, carbs, and high in calories is essential to any weight gaining effort aided by weight gain supplements. Training with weights is necessary if you want to build new muscle tissue, and a weight gain supplement can be used after a workout, in between meals, or as a snack but should never replace a meal.
Protein is a major component of any diet designed to add body weight. Lean red meats, fish, poultry, and eggs are excellent sources of protein. Several small meals per day containing large amounts of protein are crucial to your weight gaining effort. The question of what to eat to gain weight is not as complicated as some believe.
Along with plenty of protein, fats and carbohydrates are a big part of any weight gaining diet. By avoiding sweets and empty calories, you will give your body the fuel it needs to add body mass and build new muscle tissue through the nutritious foods you eat at regular intervals during the day.
If you are finding it difficult to stick to a weight gain diet, try eating five or six smaller meals per day instead of three large ones. Keep in mind that a piece of chicken and a baked potato is always better than a shake, bar, or pill.
If you should decide to use a weight gain supplement, make certain you consume adequate amounts of food each day in addition to the supplement. Weight gain supplements can give you added protein and calories and may be especially helpful if used immediately following weight training. Always be certain your diet contains all the required elements and use weight gain supplements wisely.
Learning what to eat to gain weight is a relatively simple task. Increase your calorie intake and make certain you are eating healthy, protein rich foods. This combined with weight training and plenty of rest should allow your body to bulk up effectively and help you maintain your new body shape.
