Internet Marketing is taking on a new trend. The order of the day it seems is to give before you receive. Many marketers believe that by giving first you build up a trust with others that you have their best interests at hand instead of yours. JV giveaways as they are called are the new wave in Internet Marketing.



Some say its part of the laws of attraction, others say its just human nature that everyone loves to get something for free. No matter whats behind it, and drives it to be so successful, make no mistake about it the new wave in Internet Marketing is joint venture (JV) giveaways.

However to participate in any JV giveaway event there are a few core requirements:

1. You must have free item to offer. This item can be anything such as an eBook, a website script or software, website templates or graphics, or even some private label rights (PLR) product that you own. What ever you use as the free gift make sure you have rights to actually give it away. Some software rights packages deny the rights to use the product as a giveaway or bonus item.

2. You must have an autoresponder service account. Recommended popular autoresponder services are EmailAces, Aweber, and GetResponse.

3. Another necessary tool is the squeeze page. Giveaways are all about collecting new subscribers to your mailing lists. In order to do this efficiently you must have a squeeze page to collect the subscriber's email address.

4. A set of emails to be sent out in your autoresponder's message series. Luckily most affiliate programs you sign up for will have a set of AR messages for you to just plug into an AR series. If what you want to promote doesn't offer this you will need to write a minimum of 3 but preferably 5 - 7 messages to be sent out.

Managed properly a successful JV giveaway also will add excellent branding for the participants. Branding is when a marketer builds a reputation for themselves as being trusted to do business with. A JV giveaway that has a few well known marketing professionals participating and promoting it will almost certainly guarantee the rest of the participants some measure of success and favorable branding.

Giveaways are great for helping both the new and experienced Internet Marketer add to their mailing lists. One of the good points to this method of adding to your list is that you will rarely ever get acused of SPAM messaging. The reason being is that most autoresponders require the subscriber to confirm the subscription before sending any messages to them. Thus providing the marketer with digital evidence that the subscriber did indeed request to be sent the emails.
