Even though the cities grow larger and larger and our natural playgrounds get continually smaller, even though everyone has at his disposal switches and faucets which produce light, water, heat, music, and entertainment, and even though the police protect us from burglars and bad neighbors and the firemen keep us from burning up there still remains one area where we are completely dependent upon ourselves, a place where the laws of the prairie rule, where the enemy lurks, where we have to live like Robinson Crusoe or the Swiss Family Robinson, where we are on the warpath like the Sioux on the Little Big Horn River or the Apaches from Salt River Canyon once were. This place is the camping ground.
Wherever you live, you can find your own place to camp out. It might be a forested wilderness, but it needn't be. A park, a public picnic area even your own back yard can be transformed into a deserted island or Robin Hood's glen, and when you go farther a field, during summer vacation, perhaps, the possibilities are limitless.
In any season or in any weather, your Robinson-trapper-pioneer-redskin life begins there. It is there that you can relive the adventures of the last of the Mohicans and blaze your own trails through the wonderful world of the outdoors.
Do you think that playing Indians is not going along with the times? You're wrong. Even the modern world is still full of people like Sacagawea, the brave Indian woman who guided the Lewis and Clark expedition. Who doesn't remember the gallant crew of the Kon-Tiki, a balsa-wood raft that sailed across the Pacific? What about the courageous Englishman, William Stanley Moss, and his men? They parachuted into North Pole territory to see if survivors of a plane wreck could reach the nearest settlements in Greenland across the only usable route, a horrible distance of 600 miles.
And there are the Australian aborigines, whose ability to read tracks can shame even a well-trained police troop with all sorts of technical equipment.
There are men like Admiral Byrd, and Albert Schweitzer, and the prospectors searching for uranium in northern Canada, and the technicians, scientists, and merchants for world organizations who help the underdeveloped nations and bring civilization to new areas. The age of pioneers and explorers dependent solely on their own skills for survival is still very much with us.
But you have not gotten quite that far. Not yet. For the moment, you are just going to the edge of the woods, or out to your back yard where you will be introduced to the lore of the pioneers, scouts, trappers, and Indian warriors.
Camping is like going back to the nature, on how we can survive with such limited equipment. Our ancient has proved their ability to survive in the wilderness.
Going Out For Business
The instant an individual makes a discussion to go into business, he/she becomes a subject of its defined concepts. If the business is without form, it is conceptual and drawn from outside energy into consciousness. The conscious mind decides that the concept is doable then transforms it into communicable form that is transferable from person to person. The process continues as the concept becomes material.
Each step of business conception becomes a process of emotion and inspiration. Some say technique is the most important ingredient and in reality all business endeavors are ten percent inspiration and ninety percent perspiration. Technique is a degree of performance which takes many hours of preparation before execution. True, masters of business skill also master technique in their application.
The principles of business is liken to learning a new language or music or any of the arts. Business is an art form, consistent in its' nature and constant in its' principles. As an athletic masters the sport, a business person must also master their endeavor. They must know their business inside and out for in doing so, they will develop a passion for their new enterprise.
Because there are known guidelines that drive business energy it is a “goal directed” discipline. While goals are significant, preparation is still essential. One cannot strive toward a goal without preparing for the challenge. Preparation is the difference between success and failure. I can't say this enough. Once one has made a conscious discussion to become self employed he/she must prepare, prepare, prepare, get the basics down first, master the design and conquer task.
First there must be a concept, Second there must be desire, third there must be knowledge, forth there must be commitment.
1.Concept – idea or enlightenment
2. Desire – passion, love
3. Knowledge – realization, preparing, learning the rules
4. Commitment – completion, results
These four elements are the backbone of the business principle package and it would be impossible to succeed without developing a complete package for success. While each element contains its possibilities and challenges each may be faced in part or whole as a means toward completion. Keep in mind, concept stems from the mind and usually contains something familiar to the individual but even so, ideas must be executable in order to be obtainable. No concept or idea is worth anything if it not obtainable. It is merely imagination and not possible. Concepts originate within a mind contains the elements of information, emotion, ethics, and integrity which enables it into form.
It makes no difference if a person is walking dogs or building rockets, the principles are the same. The end result must justify or satisfy the concept by its own action. All material things are provided, all thought is laced with wisdom, each element of the process is simply a part that inner-connects to another part. Like a bridge or building, each part provides the energy to assist another part in its role.
Business is designed to be a whole. It must contain all the necessary elements to be successful.
All business is a constant by nature. The possibilities existed before its' inception into a business plan. This universal principle is perfect in nature when discovered by man. Man is a qualifying element in the process of extracting prefect concepts into unfulfillable thoughts which can only be enabled by man. Man seeks perfection in Nature which holds him to a standard derived my himself. Each business contains within itself the elements of its' own completion. It's man's search for perfection that clouds reasoning for change in every created thing. All things are subject to change. Inspiration is the basic cause for the urge of Man to seek perfection through change. Business becomes the playing field of changing perception which is today – points toward what will be tomorrow.
It is necessary to learn techniques for mastery in every stage of business. Without that technique it is as impossible to succeed as it is for the musician to be a great master without aligning all notes into a playable symphony. Each part or element brings another into harmony with its' own continuance.
The reason many people aren't successful in starting a business is because they simply can't focus on doing it. They are unprepared, unwilling, and unforgiving. They are unwilling to pay the price of business success. They don't want to sacrifice themselves because they can't muster enough passion for the job. That's why only a select few are self-employed. How about you, are you up to the challenge?
I challenge you to be a self-employed magnet so others may learn from your experiences.
