You can also blend these into the page and make them look as if they were navigational links leading to various parts of your website. You would be surprised with the number of clicks you can get by using this method as well.

As far as the Adsense program is concerned, it all has to do with the number of clicks that you get. Make sure that you put these ads on all of your pages, especially in the right positions and the profits will follow.
